A HISTORY OF SHIFTING GEARS
PPC started as a 1st and 2nd generation family-owned timber, coal, heating oil and coal burner delivery and service company owned by the Arnold family. Shifting gears to meet growing market demands, 3rd Generation John A. Arnold, decided to expand product and services offerings to include delivering Petroleum products to convenience stores, restaurants, tire stores, truck stops, hotels and many other businesses.
In the 1980s and 90s, 4th Generation, John M. Arnold shifted gears once again. John introduced the convenience of fuel terminals where customers could now come and pick up their petroleum products. This was the first time he introduced a specialized lubricants division with only 6 employees.
At the turn of the century, John Arnold brought on Dave Klinger as President and made a shift again by starting PPC Lubricants, Inc. For the last eighteen years, PPC has added DEF, natural gas, logistics, production facilities, and supplemental products. PPC has also become the first premiere distributor of Drydene Performance Products in the United States. Twenty-seven acquisitions later and five strategic distribution locations. PPC has become a leader in lubricants throughout the Mid-Atlantic region.
