10 PPC Employees Win Company’s Yearly All In Awards
PPC Lubricants President, Dave Klinger, presented the 2020 All In Awards winners. These employees go above and beyond their jobs, making PPC what it is today. Winners are selected by a leadership team panel based on peer nominations. Awards are named for previous employees who demonstrated the all in attitude.
Mark Scott Memorial Manager’s Award
John Warrington took on Facility Operations Manager in Baltimore this past year, filling an urgent gap. He works to ensure customer needs are met, making John a great role model.
Jason Wurster manages the PPC facility in Butler, PA, the largest in the system. He maintains a positive attitude and doesn’t focus on negative situations. Jason also leads several large projects, a testament to his managing capabilities.
Clarence “Smitty” Smith Memorial Operation Support Award
Chuck Crispin always answers his phone for sales reps and customers. As a dispatcher, he manages sales people, drivers, and customer demands with an inspirational level of calm and professionalism. He welcomes changes to technology and processes without complaints.
Chuck ensures we meet our customers’ needs while ensuring smooth running, efficient, and profitable operations.
Cheryl Demek Memorial Customer and Employee Support Award
Gretel Laughery provides high-level support to the leadership team with exceptional, timely and accurate work.
She consistently joins in projects and leads when needed. Because of her eagerness to find a solution to any scheduling or priority conflict, she makes other team members more efficient. Gretel keeps a positive attitude and always has a smile on her face.
Tom Browning Commemorative Driver Award
Peter Bradford is always available to do what is needed. He takes pride in his work, making sure his truck is the cleanest and best looking. Our customers send regular feedback about how much they love Pete.
Paul Lytle is a skilled driver who takes care of two large service areas, in York and Chambersburg, with 15-25 stops a day. He knows how to take care of his customers, timely addressing their needs.
All In Leadership Award
Lorrie Monroe helped to navigate the purchasing team through ups and downs due to COVID-19 inventory changes, providing guidance and leadership. She made improvements to our customer service platforms to make them better. She stepped up to the role and embraced it.
Angie Schollaert exhibits a thorough understanding of accounting principals related to our business. Therefore, she always knows the answer and backs up her reasoning. She also has a positive, results-driven attitude that strengthens her team.
PPC Presidential Award
Since PPC Lubricants President, Dave Klinger, and PPC Lubricants Owner, John Arnold, do not participate in selecting All In winners, they have a special award for a leadership team member of their choosing.
Everyone in the leadership team played a large role in navigating PPC through COVID-19 and the challenges it brought. Gary Konefal, PPC’s Director of Operations, became the front-line point. At the facilities, he ensured proper regulations and kept the team able to provide for our customers.
